Capabilities / Engagement models / Pricing

Three services. Three project shapes. One price before work starts.

Every engagement is scoped to a question you need answered. If one stage is enough to answer it, we say so rather than sell you the rest.

Research and consumer insights

Before a roadmap is worth writing, somebody has to know what the audience wants and what they will not tolerate — especially an audience many brands struggle to get straight answers from. We do that work and write it up in language a founder, a designer, and a finance lead can all act on.

Real-world product testing

This is the part most firms skip. Testers are recruited from a student network, the product goes in their hands, and what actually happens gets logged across days of normal use — not one session in a lab.

  • Tester recruitment
  • Structured check-ins
  • Usability sessions
  • Adoption tracking
Panel size
10–50 active testers, scaled to the study
Recruited through
University networks, athletic programs, campus organizations
Typical study length
2–12 weeks, longer for adoption questions
You receive
Weekly logged-behavior reports, structured feedback, field notes, a synthesis memo
Age range
Defined per brief and research question

Strategy

Research that does not end in a decision is an expensive hobby. Findings get converted into a position, a priority order, and a plan with named trade-offs, so you can see what you are giving up.

  • Positioning
  • Prioritization
  • Pricing logic
  • Go to market

Product support — prototypes, dashboards, or data pipelines are available through named specialists, scoped only after the research points at a real need.

We report the shape of the evidence, including the parts that are soft.

A finding from nine testers is not a finding from ninety, and a two-week window is not a quarter. Every report states the sample, the window, and the confidence actually behind it, so you can weigh a recommendation instead of taking it on trust.

Where the evidence is thin, the report says what it would cost to make it solid, and leaves the decision to you.

How an engagement takes shape.

These are the three project shapes we are built for, written as models — not as past work. We do not yet have completed client engagements to show; see /work for what's real.

01 — Early-stage product launch

Situation

A wearable startup has a first prototype and needs real-world feedback before it commits to launch.

What we run

Recruit a targeted student testing group; run product trials, surveys, and user interviews; surface usability failures; produce organic marketing content built from the testing itself.

You receive

User feedback report, product recommendations, customer insights, survey data, short-form video.

02 — Finding product-market fit

Situation

A startup has a working product but doesn't know which customers value it most, or how to position it.

What we run

Test across distinct user groups; interviews and surveys; behavioral analysis; head-to-head comparison of messaging and positioning concepts.

You receive

Customer segments, positioning recommendations, feature priorities, messaging findings, a product-market-fit research report.

03 — Gen Z growth and market testing

Situation

An established company wants younger consumers but has no insight into how Gen Z actually reads its product.

What we run

Campus-based research; marketing concept tests; structured feedback collection; student-generated content; product and brand experience gap analysis.

You receive

Gen Z consumer insights, campaign concepts, organic video, product feedback, growth recommendations.

What engagements cost.

Model
Every project is scoped and priced individually. There is no rate card, and nothing is billed by the hour.
Before work starts
You get a fixed price, tied to the brief you approved — not an estimate that grows once work is underway.
Early engagements
While a track record is being built, some early projects can run in exchange for product units plus a reduced fee, instead of a full fee. Ask if this fits your project.
Starting price
Quoted per project after scope is agreed

Good fit / not a fit.

Good fit

  • Wearable and consumer health products that need real-world feedback before or after launch
  • Startups trying to find which audience actually values what they built
  • Brands that want to understand Gen Z and college-age consumers directly, not through secondhand data
  • Teams that want a fixed price and a named person accountable for the answer

Not a fit

  • Regulated clinical claims or medical-device evidence
  • Legal opinions, or anything that requires a licensed specialist
  • Work that needs constant availability through exam periods
  • Projects expecting fabricated proof — testimonials, metrics, or results that have not actually happened
